I was born in São Paulo, a bustling city in the southeast of Brazil. There, I grew up surrounded by vivid expressions of art and culture, which shaped my artistic style . It was also there that my grandmother taught me to sew. She would always make beautiful clothes for her grandchildren. While she worked, I sat on the floor of her sewing room, making doll dresses out of fabric scraps.
   I moved to the United States as a teenager. Here, I earned my Associates and Bachelors degree in fashion design. In Los Angeles, I gained experience working in bridal alterations and costume. My knowledge in garment construction allowed me to become a costume maker, besides a designer. Bringing to life characters and scenes that require specialty costumes, such as historical and traditional garments.
